Heron Lake Golf Course & Resort, also known as Dam Vac Golf Club, is a masterpiece of golf course architecture designed by Phil Ryal of Pacific Coast Design from Australia. Located approximately 50 kilometers northwest of Hanoi via the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Highway, the course opened in the early 2010s as a five-star facility specifically designed to test top players while remaining enjoyable for amateur golfers. The par-72 layout stretches 6,883 yards across a 90-hectare site abundant with natural wildlife and water features.

True to its name, Heron Lake is situated among wildlife preservation areas where golfers frequently encounter native heron birds along with an abundance of evergreen and palm trees creating a picturesque natural setting. Water features are thoughtfully incorporated throughout the entire property, with the course's signature element being dramatic 'beach' bunkers where white sand meets the water's edge, creating stunning visual contrasts against the blue lakes. The course features the latest Paspalum grass on fairways and rough areas, providing excellent playing conditions and making shots less demanding for mid-to-high handicap players.

The uniquely designed clubhouse, created by famous architect Graham Taylor, features comprehensive facilities including full locker and changing rooms, an international restaurant serving Vietnamese and global cuisine, and spa services including massage and sauna.
